A Moment in the Sun

Since I don't have time to write anything for weeks at a time. I thought I'd give you all a video glimpse into our day to day life by 3-5 minute increments. I'm going to start with just a week's worth and see how it goes. So here's

"A Moment in the Sun Part 1: Shredding paper..er..ART 101"

Back by popular demand!

Okay since I haven't really written anything in such a long time. I'll TRY to stay on track and not jump all over the place.

First of all here's what we've been up to:
We finally finished school a couple weeks ago and it feels great!

Gaius is still NUTS!!!!! I can literally not keep track of him.

Xavier played his first year of T-ball and did a great job! He even made several outs playing mommy's position- 2nd base.

Xavier and Leia are all signed up and anxiously anticipating youth soccer next fall!

We've been doing our part for the economy and going to the movies...a LOT. At one point a few weeks ago we had seen every movie playing in our local theaters except one. I love going to the movies!!! Here's my opinion on the movies I've seen: Wolverine- pretty good, Star Trek- really good, Terminator- kind of dumb, Night at the Museum- eh?, Up- really funny!

We're packing up and getting ready to go on our first camping trip of the summer (whoohoo! I love camping!)!

Church League softball officially starts this Tuesday! Hopefully my swing comes back by then.

And Marc has entered the "busy season" at work. So we see very little of him from now until labor day. I think he says it best: "You [CNY] have a sugar addiction!"

I think I'll end it with there. I have more to say but I think it might be better to ease you all back into this crazy life of ours.

Coming Soon...

Well I have a couple blog topics I'm hashing out. But I literally have ZERO time to sit down and write anything of  length. So for now they stay trapped in this crazy-over scheduled-erratic head of mine.

Hopefully some day soon I'll come back to you blogger and right all my wrongs. I swear "it's not you it's me!!"

Visitor

Look what was in our yard tonight when we got home from T-ball practice (This could explain where Dr. Holstein disappeared to a few months ago)

FNL News Update (I wonder if eventually I'll have a news update for every night of the week?):

We've just gone through one whole work week of sunny days!!!!!
(guess that means the Cullen's can't move here, bummer?)

Our house is now insulated and weatherized thanks to our lovely state! (who says you can't make your tax dollars work for you?)

I still feel like I'm WAY too young to drive a mini-van.
("you're so vain...")

We only have 3 weeks left of school!!!!
(can I hear a whoohoo?!)

Turns out organizing a church softball league is no small task.
(I still have no idea how it ended up on MY plate. And YES! I am a little bitter about it)

I start reading the Dune series and Marc says "hey, you're like one of those geeky girlfriends that goes to comic-cons and likes sci-fi."
(Translation: "Honey I've never found you more attractive")

And last but not least:

Marc is giving the faux hawk and stumble look a try.
(I'm not gonna lie- it's kinda hot!)

GB House Renovations (a.k.a. Why I've been AWOL)

Marc took a week of vacation last week, and finally solve the hot water pressure mystery we've had for about a year now. So $178 later we are finally able to really enjoy the cool shower head i got for my birthday last year! AND I can now rinse dishes better so they don't taste like dish soap and rinse the shampoo out of my children's hair! Sadly it didn't fix the dishwasher...baby steps.

Over the winter we applied for a 'Weatherization Grant" from our county to help cut our heating costs next winter. So this week we've had some contractors here putting in new doors and insulating our house! The doors look/work a lot better! And I'm anxious to see our fuel bill relect it.

And finally...my schedule is out of control. I have WAY too much on my plate right now. Here's a run down of my next 6 weeks or so.

Sunday- Church x2
Monday- Schooling, regular monday stuff, softball practice
Tuesday- Art Class, regular tuesday stuff, T-ball game
Wednesday- Schooling, regular wednesday stuff, T-ball practice, church
Thursday- Schooling, regular thursday stuff, T-ball game
Friday- Schooling, work at my Mom's daycare
Saturday- depends on the week-This week: softball practice, decorate for a banquet, and getting groceries at some point (not sure when yet)

So yeah...I can't wait for more of my family members to join sports and have to throw that into the mix *sarcasm*.

Whew!!! Here we go...
