Pregnancy [Not So] Super Powers!

Nightmares- Lots and lots of them! I had 3 , crazy, morbid ones the other night that I don't want to talk about.

Bending from the waist- Seriously. It's not happening!

Waddling- this is by far my least favorite! Thankfully, I don't *think* I've gotten to that stage yet. But my days are surely numbered.

Brain Freeze- No i don't mean the fun ones you get from drinking a Slushie too fast (Yum! Cherry Slushies!). I mean the fact that my brain literally has shut down and everything I do is basically on auto-pilot.

O.L.B.S.- Old Lady Bladder Syndrome. This baby LOVES to camp out on my bladder. I'm not impressed!

Cravings- Mine are not extremely weird, just very specific. This has been my Frosted Mini Wheats pregnancy. I have to eat a bowl of FMW every morning. But if they are even the slightest bit soggy then I can't eat them. I can't bare to drink the sugary milk left in the bottom of the bowl either.

Drawing a Crowd- Or rather, personal questions from complete strangers. Let's just say I know a whole lot more about my UPS guy then I ever thought I would.

"Minor Annoyances"- There's no such thing to a pregnant woman! You're either annoyed or your not and 85% of the time you are!

There's plenty more but they get a little personal. So I'll just save it for the UPS guy! :-)

There's a lady at church who is determined that I'm going to have the baby in 2 weeks. I hope she's wrong because the baby wouldn't even be full term yet. HOWEVER, it would give me a chance to have a nice little 6-7 pounder! :-) I highly doubt that she will be right.

I'm getting a complex here. In the last week I have been called: huge, massive, really, very, and Whoa! Pregnant!
But apparently I still "look great". I really don't know what people are expecting me to look like. I mean I HAVE done this 3 times before. I'm short and I have huge babies- the only place they can go is out! Oh well, I guess it just comes with the territory.

The Fetal Equation

9 +8.11+9.9= 27.1

27.1/3= 9.003

There's no hope for a 7 lb baby, is there? *sigh*

2 weeks and 5 days until I'm full term!

Ruffle Butts

"Irresistible Ruffles
These 1950s-style diaper covers, one pink, one floral, are ideal for pictures, stealing the show at a party, or just letting her wear around the house if you need cheering up."

I found that little excerpt from the item description comical and wanted to share! BTW I do think they are super cute (but totally not worth $65).

I had an appointment today. I ended up going to the wrong office (oops!) but they thankfully squeezed me in anyway.
All is going well! The baby is head down and ready to go (But not for another 4 weeks, at least, young lady or man!!!).
I'm measuring right on and I only gained 1 pound! (I could live with only gaining 3 more lbs this pregnancy!)

Marc has informed me that he "can't get excited about any baby name at this point". So I guess that means I get to pick one out all by myself *insert evil laugh*. Looks like I'll need to throw the baby name book into my hospital bag. :-) Remind me again why I thought it would be more fun to not find out our baby's gender so we can pick out 2 names? :-)

It's Finally Finished!

Okay, so it's been a loooonnngg time since I posted what I wanted to do for our crib bedding.

This is a picture of the original idea:This is my recreation:

Feels good to have another thing checked off my extensive list!

Yay! and YIKES!

The Cutest 8 Year Old On the Planet.

Xavier spent his first week away at kids' summer camp last week.
He was/is so stinkin' cute (don't tell him I told you). He came home yesterday all excited and sentimental. He brought home a little toy for each of his siblings. Then he kept hugging us and saying that he missed and loved us.

He also chanted his team's cheer and song. Along with retelling all of his very favorite parts of the week: Something about Kangaroo Court and throwing cheese at someone. OH! And pranking the girl's cabin! He also has been talking non-stop about The Ark (apparently the week's chapel theme) and his counselor Keith. As far as I can tell he had a great week!
But we sure did miss him here at home!

Here We Go again

It's the boys' room that is getting the sprucing this time! I'm excited (and exhausted)! This is my last big project of the summer! So I just need to make it through the next couple of days!

Out of the Mouths of Babes

Gaius bought a little electronic sudoku game at the dollar store last night. Apparently he thinks it's a phone. Because every time it goes off (some sort of game mode or something) he sighs very loudly and says "Ah! Not again! HELLO!!!"

Can you tell his mommy isn't a big phone person?!?! :-)

Leia while making a card for Xavier, who is away at camp.

"Mom, I put hearts on it so that he'll know that we love and miss him!"

***Remember a few weeks ago I posted a conversation where Xavier was going to pray for a room all his own and Leia was going to pray for it NOT to happen?***
I guess absence does make the heart fonder!

P.S. Anyone else having trouble with blogger today?

*To the tune of Pig On Her Head*

Korleen has a limb in her ribs.
Korleen has a limb in her ribs.
Korleen has a limb in her ribs.
And she keeps it there all day!

Guess what!?!?!

We have a girl's name that I LOVE and Marc is willing to "work with"!

This is BIG news!

It's only a girl's first name so we're 2/3 of the way there! Ah! Progress! I still really like the name I picked out for a boy and Marc still likes it too. So unless we find something we like better than I'm thinking we'll go with that. But, then again, who really knows.

The Countdown!

Days!
I can't believe how fast time is flying! I still have a ton to do.

Holy Cannoli!

It is HOT!
I've always thought that our trade off for crazy amounts of snow was that we didn't have stifling hot summers. Once again I would be WRONG! One hundred degrees is too hot no matter how you look at it. Thank goodness for a generous brother with a pool and working A/C...
...AND for the thunderstorm that just went through, dropping the temp 15°! Now that's what an almost 8 months pregnant woman needs!

Gaius- Awww! I'm going to be sick.

Me- How come?

Gaius- Because I don't like showers, I like baths.

Me- Why?

Gaius- Because, they make me rude.

*Good to know*

The Mama Files

I just filled out my hospital pre-registration AND my c-section is officially scheduled! Now as long as little baby no-name gets the memo on the correct time and place to make *her* appearance, we'll be set!

Still Alive and Still Pregnant!

Whew! What a week!
I *heart* decorating weddings so much. BUT it's a lot of work!!! In my estimation it took me about 18 hours of actual work, and that's with my in-laws helping A LOT! But as the title states, I survived and didn't put myself into labor!

Now for the rest of the summer!
