Tag!

My friend Carol tagged me to go to my 6th album and post the 6th picture and tell it's story. So here it is. This is Xavier when he escorted Adrienne on her graduation day (all the seniors at her school ask a "flowerchild" to walk with them). She told us that she chose him because she knew that he would walk down the aisle without incident. Good ol' reliable Xav!

It's my blog and I'll whine if I want to, whine if I want to, whine if i want to...

Ok so I just heard that DTV is being pushed back because "our country isn't ready for the change yet". Now normally I couldn't care less. But for some reason I'm really annoyed by this. I'm not annoyed because I really want digital TV. I'm annoyed because they're wasting so much time on nothing in congress. It's only television people! If a few thousand people have to go without it they're not going to die. There's some far more important issues that are being sidelined because of TV? Get over it America!

BTW all of this is coming from a "TV Head" (a.k.a. someone who really likes watching TV). I just think it's pathetic that we think we can't live without it. RIDICULOUS!

Sometimes...

...I don't correct my children's speech just because it's so darn cute.
Leia thinks the name Melony is actually "Lemony"

All the kids call Chuck E. Cheese- Chuckin' Cheese

And then Gaius obviously says "Helwo" for Hello

I love my crazy, hilarious children. They brighten my day.

Sometimes I wonder about our youngest

He's hilarious! Today he figured out how to make this low raspy noise deep in his throat. And since he got a laugh out of it once he's been going around all morning making it and laughing.

At our house the computer is in the living room near the couch so Marc can recline while going on-line (not exactly the best set up in my opinion, but whatever). So we have a cordless keyboard that you hold on your lap. Gaius has started sneaking up beside me, whipping the keyboard off my lap, jumping on my lap, and saying "Helwo". It'd be pretty cute except for the fact that I'm usually in the middle of typing (I'm blogging her man!), and i have to retrieve the keyboard from the floor. But really who can't love a baby who loves his Mama so much?

Inauguration Day

"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes" Proverbs 21:1

I'm really glad I serve a God who knows what He's doing.

Happy Birthday Linds!

While searching for a picture for my friend Lindsey's Birthday I came across a wikihow site (http://www.wikihow.com/Toilet-Paper-a-House ) that has step by step directions on how to toilet paper a house. It made me laugh.  Oh internet how I love thee.

In a Fickle

So looking at my last post it would appear that I really want a baby. However, today i realized I'm okay with 3 for now. I actually don't really want to have any more kids right away. There's certain things that need to happen first. One being getting a larger vehicle- that is a necessity, the little ford focus is maxed out quite literally. And at the moment we're pretty focused on getting our debt paid down before we consider adding anymore. And although God is all powerful and a mini van (or something similar in size) is nothing for Him. It kind of needs to appear before He blesses us with another baby (a girl please!). So what you witnessed yesterday was me after i just finished looking at my 2007 scrapbook. I'm actually VERY content with our sweet little family of 5.

Starve a Fever...

Things you should never do when you are trying to starve off a case of "baby fever" (which is strangely similar to beaver fever).

1. Hold tiny newborn babies (especially if they are related to you and resemble your child).

2. Look through newborn pictures of your other children.

3. Get several nights in a row of uninterrupted sleep.

4. Realize that your 2nd youngest is almost ready for kindergarten.

5. Pick out names for your next child.

6. Look at baby clothes- on-line, in the store, or in the totes you have stored away in the basement (I actually haven't gone as far as dig out our stored baby clothes, i'm not that desperate).

I'm just saying..

Thanks Shelly!

For my cool new look!

Martha Leia Speaks:

"Batman flies around the room,  PRAISE THE LORD"

What an angel?

(This post is for the B-mans)

Man, this child is cute. But what a curious little imp. Here's a run down of today's events.

Clean the living room to find someone (not to mention any names) had "decorated" my wall with the loveliest shades of green, blue and red crayon.

Lock (I guess barricade is a nicer word) the children in the living room so that i can take a quick shower.  Come out to Gaius pulling half of the tape off of the roll.

Leave for art. While Gaius (this one's on daddy's watch) shredded and threw a roll of toilet paper into a bucket of water I had a shirt soaking in, in the bathroom. And yes the shirt was soaking because Gaius decided to literally wipe all of the tomatoes from his dinner plate down the front of him.

Return from art with Gaius chatting away from his bedroom where I guess he refused to sleep for marc. I go up to check on him and he has every toy in reach thrown in the center of his room. Plus ripped apart his brothers bean bag chair and strewn the contents all over the place.

Now, mind you I'm all for discovery and testing the limits a little,  he is almost 2. But today was a little much. Perhaps some more childproofing is in order.
